We had a warm, upper 30's weekend, well just Sunday actually but it was a welcome change to the teens and the constant snow fall.
Dad called from Florida and after I told him about our day, he mentioned the fact that he is enjoying weather in the 70's. It didn't make me feel less about my day, I love winter days like these.
The Great Barrel Reef.
Hubby started a new project. I love the fact that he gets itchin for projects and wont let winter stop his plans. Floating dock for the pond, working on the ice means no need to move it when spring comes.

Remember my little chick Uno?
She has this habit of flying onto me when I walk in the coop. I tuck my hair up under my hat. I call it my sh*ty hat. She isn't polite enough to always have clean feet. Makes me worried if I will have constant sh*t in my hair this summer.
Being loved makes sh*t in your hair worth while.
I should go clean lunchboxes so I wont have to do it in the morning.
Goodnight.

I gave you the Tree of Happiness award and you're supposed to list 6 things that make you happy.
We stayed up to watch Medium. I slept hard last night. I am exhausted now. I need more coffee! But I know what you mean about the poop. If it were before I had chickens I would've been grossed out by it but now it doesn't faze me. You do what you have to.
She loves you!! Isn't that sweet?
Sweet little Uno.
Has that yarn spoken to you yet?
I am trying really hard to be patient for this weekend to come. They say highs in the 50's. Right now it is 5.
I love the llama pair pic at the top of your blog now. So cute. The great barrel reef is intimidating! I need a couple of those for rain barrels.
Such lovely yarn. Is it an Angora/Mohair blend?
I know what you mean about just wanting to admire it, but I also love wearing such beautiful yarn, so soft against my skin. I've been doing a bunch of knitting since I'm bed bound. Mostly gifts, but also a few wonderful items for me, too. I feel pampered. :)
I can't wait to see more of what this floating dock project is about. lol! on your Great Barrel Reef. Lots of folks use those blue barrels around for horse training and barrel courses. That's a lot of barrels you've got.
Take care of yourself and get plenty of rest, my friend. :)

Oh, I love, love, love the photo of you and Uno. What a pair you two make! And in this case, even I can make an exception about the possible proximity of fecal matter to your face. You know how I am about those types of things, so please appreciate my growth moment. :-)
"The Great Barrel Reef" That is fabulous!! :)
There's nothing wrong with tucking your hair up under a baseball hat in the summer. I love it when chickens develop a friendliness to us chicken owners. Some folks think they're too stupid to like humans. I beg to differ.
I don't know how to knit, but I'm in love with that wool. What color and texture! As for hats, I'm a big fan of them--Sh*t and otherwise. If ever there were a tribute to beautiful wool (in my humble opinion), a winter hat is surely that. I can't wait to see what you end up doing with it!
Love the pic with you and Uno!
I gave you a Kreativ blogger award over at my site, it must be your day for awards haha!
that yarn is gorgeous - it would totally forgive you if you just let it stay in a ball and collect compliments:)
Who's that hot girl with a chick on her shoulder??!! I am soo the ugly duckling in this group!
btw, many people pay LOADS of $ for the poo in their shampoo (particularly guano) so hey, you get yours for free!! ;)
I love that yarn and I am anxious to see what you do with it. Uno on your shoulder is hilarious. Yeah, a little sh*t on your hair won't hurt.
Thanks Joanna, I'll get on that, luckily I have way more than 6 things so this should be easy!
Hi Patrice Farmer (still lovin that name!), I think having babies and the stuff they toss your way got rid of my gross out factor years ago.
WLB, It's funny that a few treats can make a chick fall in love. (I'm the same way)
frugalmom, that yarn has been whispering a few things, I just need to make the time.
Claire, thanks, I keep changing that top picture to what I have been working on lately. I'll have to make more llama things to keep you happy.
Lisa, she said it was a mix of Mohair and mystery sheep. I usually save most of my knitting time for soccer season, kid practices are nice for hand projects.
I'll show progress on the barrels soon.
Farmgirl, I have seen some of your donkey pics (you know which one I'm talking about) and a little chicken poop near the face cant be as bad as that! I'm just glad I could help you with your growth.
;-)
Ceecee, it's funny due to this nice weather I went out without my hat and Uno freaked, she didn't know who I was. I may have to wear it in the summer to get some lovin.
Katheryn and Ari, I have this book that has a double crochet hat that I just love the look of. It may become that after I admire it awhile longer.
Thanks Erica, I'll go to your site and check it out. I love the word Kreativ, sound about right.
magnusmog, I knew you would understand, knitter that you are. For yarn that pretty the project has to be just right.
farm mom, you thinking that pic is hot tells me that you need to get our more. ;-)
We should start a shamPOO business together. We'll make MILLIONS!
Egghead, I'm a new knitter and feel a bit intimidated by the beauty of that yarn. I hope whatever I make is blog worthy.
Uno is a crack up, I'd never had one of my chickens love me so much.
