If you can pay attention long enough...

Anytime I read an article or watch a show on adult ADD, I say " doesn't everyone do that?" My husband responds with a very emphatic "NO!"
I got an 80,
see how screwy you may be.

Wow! Fascinating quiz....I'll tell you what my score is as soon as I fi...wait, I need to quickly go get the clothes out of the dryer, open the dishwasher door (on my way by) to clean it out (i'll get to that later) and as I drop the clothes on the bed to get ready to fold, that big box in my closet will catch my eye and I will pull out all my previously unfinished cross-stitch projects - I plan to finish them all TODAY...

Okay, wait...I cant even make it to the quiz yet. I am too busy laughing at a day in the life of farmgirl dk. (and not because I have witnessed this at her house, either...)

Laughing with love, of course.

Farmgirl...I do that too!!! I scored 55 as a moderate ADHD...but I really am diagnosised as ADD/ADHD...which is more obvious when you're talking to me or if I have to remember something, or try to tell a joke or story and I tell the ending first. But there are days that I could veg in my chair ALL DAY LONG and then others I am just like Farmgirl, racing around trying to do ten things at once...its exhausting...no wonder I end up in the chair for long stretches at a time-lol!

I'll wait and take the quiz after I've had my daily dose of Lexapro which makes my behavior like one who has had a lobotomy.

I got a 35, which makes me distressingly normal I guess. The places I think I scored the high points were the ones about too many thoughts and such, which is probably expected with a full time job, part time school and a farm full of animals...

I scored a 14. I seem to be very mellow. I get wound up about stuff, but my brain doesn't get away with taking over the situation.

I got a 61, is this a good thing?

Hmmm, I scored a 71, but I'm blaming it on the double doses of percocets I have to take right now. Pain can be very distracting, so I'm letting blogging be a better distraction...oh and my percocets...and your blog.

Did I mention I'm taking lots of pain meds already?
(lol!)

Thanks for making me laugh, my friend,

I scored 48 but thats only because there were alot of questions that related to other people. I tend to be focused in a group, its just being alone cleaning that i go cuckoo. I am from room to room, i just cant seem to finish one at a time...im always distracted by something else...maybe i just dont organize enough...

You people dissapoint! I was hoping I wouldn't have the HIGHEST SCORE. Lucky for me I have never had problems with employment or other such things the experts talk about, and it isn't all bad stuff. I tend to focus on the positives such as:

The symptoms of ADD / ADHD are not all negative. People with ADD / ADHD also have many positive traits that are directly tied to their active, impulsive minds:

Creativity – People with ADD excel at thinking outside of the box, brainstorming, and finding creative solutions to problems. Because of their flexible way of thinking about things, they tend to be more open-minded, independent, and ready to improvise.
Enthusiasm and spontaneity – People with ADD are free spirits with lively minds—qualities that makes for good company and engrossing conversation. Their enthusiasm and spontaneous approach to life can be infectious.
A quick mind - People with ADD have the ability to think on their feet, quickly absorb new information (as long as it’s interesting), and multitask with ease. Their rapid-fire minds thrive on stimulation. They adapt well to change and are great in a crisis.
High energy level – People with ADD have loads of energy. When their attention is captured by something that interests them, they can have virtually unlimited stamina and drive.

And those are the things I like about myself so I guess you have to have a little sour to appreciate the sweet.
