Meet my salad

I don't think I will ever tire of going to the garden, picking what is ready and sharing with my family.
This salad had various lettuces, cabbage leaves, beet greens, nasturtium leaves and flowers (very peppery), lightly steamed then chilled asparagus and a hard boiled egg my hens gifted me.
This bowl didn't last long.

How delicious, and rewarding. I can't wait to be able to add our own eggs to what we grow as well.

Mmmmm..that looks tasty. I have never eaten those flowers before.

But I do love asparagus. Even if they make smelly love drips.

Nice to meetcha, salad. You are simply lovely. My mouth watered just looking at you.
Good job, Mishy...you have quite the green thumb. Congrats to your hens, too - those eggs were the perfect topper to your lovely green meal.
Love drips. Ewwww.

WOW...You're lucky that your hens can lay hard-boiled eggs! hehe!

Yum! Do I see nasturtium in that bowl? We tried to grow it a couple years ago, but it can't stand our summer temps.

That is probably the prettiest salad I have ever seen. I don't think I could have eaten it. I would have made it the center piece of the table and stared at it all day.

Joanna, I can't wait for tomato season, I'll show a pic of salsa then.

Mo, I hope you get your hens soon.

frugalmom, the flowers give it quite a zing, hubby loves them.

Farmgirl, thanks! My thumb does quite well when the weather conditions are right.
