Sunny Siberia

It's 2 degrees with a -17 wind chill, but WE HAVE SUN!!!! I can at least sit in a sunny window and dream spring may eventually come our way.

Thank you for the Lucky love. It means a lot to me and my girl.

In spite of a busy schedule, I worked a bit this weekend, stitched some faces down and assembled the out side.

Quilted around. Tons more to do.

I not only have a show in March.....

I got my invitation to do Saline Summerfest Craft Show again this year. I loved that show.

Last summer.

The ladies in charge are so kind, they treated me like a guest, not all shows do, and its in August and I was so delightfully sweaty and hot. I miss sweaty and hot. And I love doing shows in my hometown.

I had 6 comments on my 100th giveaway post so I took the easy way, I'm kind of lazy that way, rolled the dice and commenter #1 wins! Congrats Farmgirl_dk.

Well I'd better get back to work.

Take care.

Hey!!! I was clicking on the "leave comment" button on your post when I saw my name. I win, I win!!! How fun. Wahoo and thanks! I'll email you in a sec.

Now, what I really wanted to say to you was...about this Saline Summerfest Craft Show... I neeeeeed to know, where in the world do you go to the bathroom at these things? You don't (shudder, gasp) use an outhouse, do you??? :-) We gals with bathroom sensitivies must stick together!

Hey farmgirl_dk,
So sweet of you to inquire where we vendors go potty. Your concern is touching. No outhouse for us, they open up a sewer grate in the street, it helps if you have strong quad muscles and wear a long coat.

Ah, well all this makes sense. And I'm sure you wear flip flops, too, so that any run-off just flows right through your shoes...

No nightmares for me there, nosireee.
:-D

Shoes, do they wear shoes in your town? Well la-de-da.

You are FUNNY! I'm laughing so hard, I'm trying not to wet my pants. Wait, is that another potty reference...??? You're bringing out the worst in me.

I'm not really that funny, just had a good day. I woke up at 3:30 thinking about your prize. It's almost finished.

Danni said...

OMG - almost finished already? And up at 3:30am?? You're craaaaazy. I'm excited! :-)

I get hyper focused on interesting things and can't concentrate on other stuff till its done, I'm flaky on dull things. Sounds like ADD symptoms to me. I need to run to the school later, the post office is on the way. Let me know when it safely arrives.

Yay! You'll be the first to know. Well, second...after Roxy.

It's so sad that this blog has the most comments ever on it and half of them are mine.

Danni said...

Not sad, just different. You have to admit, this is a VERY lively conversation. Should we invite more to join us? ;-)

sugarcreekstuff said...

We could make it more interesting again and talk about bathrooms.

Danni said...

I think we should invite farm mom...look at the second item on her '7 things' list that she posted today: http://childreninthecorn.blogspot.com/2008/02/7-things.html.
She may be one of us.

I've been reading her blog for a while and she sounds fun. My hair has never dropped in the potty but my robe tie has. When I was little my tushie would sometimes slip and hit the water.

Danni said...

I can outdo this. I just sent you a pic of my niece from a few years ago. :-)

That's cheaper than going to the water park. I wonder if my kids will go for it.

Conrats Farmgirl!

what a special gift....and a perfect 'farm-warming' present, to boot!

(ps, and I will not comment on any of the....um...er...potty comments mentioned. I get way too much of that with my 11 yr old sons..and 4 yr old daughter, too. Sometimes, I have to escape to the barn just for a moment's peace, sanity, and fresh smelling air! haha!
