Help

My boy is rapidly approaching 14, loves to read, is an advanced reader, has been bored with books lately. Do any of you moms with older boys have any suggestions of books he may enjoy? He complains of the books at the Middle School Library, I think he needs more grown up but not too "Adult Themed".

Thank you in advance for any help.

He's probably read the whole Eragon series, right? Aidan loved those. What about the Philip Pullman books? (Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, etc.) Aidan, who turned 16 in December, also has really enjoyed Neil Gaiman novels. Ask your son if he's familiar with him yet. If not, I suggest you check him out first to make sure you are ok with the reading material.
Has he read the Davinci Code?

wow what a great problem for parents to have, y'all have done something right. I'm not a parent but just curious, what are your secrets to raising kids that will actually have bright futures?

Farmgirl- He's read Eragon and The Golden Compass. I'll suggest the others. Thanks so much.

Joanna-We do have good kids. School for my son has always been easy, but motivation has been a challenge.(like me) My daughter with her Irlen Syndrome (read about it in the right hand lables column) has had it more difficult in school but works extremely hard.(like my Hubbie) They are both kind and funny and I feel so blessed to be their mom.
They haven't hit their later teen years so I'm not quite ready to pat myself on the back just yet. I still have some time to screw them up ;-)
