The weather was great at the Artisan Market, I only brought a third of my items since our spaces were smaller than my usual tent size. I forgot my camera because that would require thinking ahead.
I sold this embroidery tote to the woman who was destined to have it,
I sold a Hi Chick Pillow,
I sold my first pack of homemade cards,
and 6 tissue packs.
I got to meet the nicest gals, I was next to a Mosaic artist, so talented and funny, 2 moms with young kids from my town on the other side of me, Kate of http://chicalookate.wordpress.com/, who organized it was across from me.
I made some cash, got to hang with fun people and i had put a roast in the crock pot, so I even came home to a hot home cooked meal. Not bad.
Todays News!
One of my favorite designers, Linda Lum DeBono shttp://lindalumdebono.blogspot.com/, had a little contest a few weeks back, I won! I got the package today.
I thought my heart would stop when I saw all that was inside.
My best way to describe Lindas patterns and ideas in her books is fun.
Such happy projects, in such bright fun colors.
There is also a book and patterns for machine quilting. This is perfect, my mom has a long arm quilting machine. For you who may not know what that is, it is a huge machine with bars you wrap the quilt around, 14 feet long, and the machine is what glides as you quilt along while the quilt stays still. These patterns are great because there is a little lazer light you can follow the lines of the patterns along and the machine stitches it in the quilting.
If you ever tried quilting a big quilt on a regular machine, well you know what a living hell it is. If you ever get the pleasure of using a long arm, it is heaven on earth!
This is beyond great.
She included fabric!!!
I consider myself a pretty moral person, (except for my cussing like a sailor) but I would sell myself for fabric.
Bright and colorful. These books, this fabric, I shop at quilt shops and know that this is one valuable gift. Such generosity, Linda is so nice, I can't believe my luck.
So here's my plan, I'm going to make something from some of these fabrics and have a giveaway. My pay it forward. I'm not sure when, I have a big project I'm working on this week. I'll post about it when I'm done and let you know the rules then.
My next show is in a month, its a huge one, I now have new fabrics to inspire me.
Thank you Linda!

Oooohhhh!!!! Michelle! I am so thrilled for you. This prize could have not been won by a nicer person.
And I'm so glad the show went so well, and besides forgetting the camera, you even had a yummy roast beef dinner waiting for you when you got home. Whoohoo!
All those fabrics are just so YOU, my friend.
And I was getting ready to type the same thing about you: "My best way to describe Michelle's patterns and ideas for her bags and art is fun.
Such happy projects, in such bright fun colors".
Describes you to a 'T', girlfriend! :)

Woo HOO....you made a pretty good haul in that giveaway box. The fabrics look like something you would love. Thats so great that the package made you feel so happy and gave you inspiration.
The show turned out to be a success and it sounds like you had a great time just hanging with some friends and having fun.
Oh, your enthusiasm is contagious...how fun!
And....you cuss like a sailor?! I cuss like a truck driver! No wonder I like you so much. :-)
I'm rolling on the floor here!! "I'll sell myself for fabric" Ha! we all need to write a post "What I'd sell myself for...." I've got to admit, I'm dying to hear Danni's answer! LOL! Congrats on the huge score, m'friend! :)
Congratulations. What a great prize.
(don't tell anybody, but sometimes a bad word slips out of my mouth too.) I learned from my husband..or vice versa, I forget.
lol.
I love the fabric. well, all of it.
Have a good day.

Congratulations!! Your win looks great and right up your alley.
I think going to your show w/o your camera could be forgiven by the fact that dinner was ready when you got home. Sometimes food is more important than pictures.:) I'm glad it went well for you.
Lisa, You always leave the nicest comments.
I'm so thankful to have a friend like you.
Frugalmom, Linda was so generous and I love her fabrics, I even had one of her books prior to getting these!
I did have fun at Market Day.
Hey Bleeping Farmgirl, I don't usually cuss when I'm mad, I swear to make something funnier. My kids think it's funny when say awful things. The other day my girl said "Hey Mom, what rhymes with glass?" So I said "Bleeping @ss" and she about choked on her drink.
It's kind of sad that I go for cheap laughs instead of good parenting.
I'm glad I'm not the only one with a potty mouth.
Farm mom, I'm so glad someone thought it was funny, I was starting to worry that you all thought nothing of it.
That is a great idea, I want to hear what you'd sell your self for!
Ga.farmwoman, I'm glad to hear you cuss too. ;-0
I'm hoping to sew something with it soon.
Thanks Ceecee, FOOD IS HUGE! at least I got something right, Kate took some pics at the show so I'm hoping she posts some soon.
