It's no secret that I love my Monster Truck. I've blogged about it before so I wont bore you again.
Hubby (I love him too!)for Christmas, bought me parts for my beloved truck. He fixed my interior handle that had broke and left me to roll the window down and open the door using the exterior handle. Not too bad of a problem except for when the windows freeze up, which is common in the winter, so I'd have to exit across the passenger side door. That isn't too bad either, I just got curious look at the gas station.
And the grill was messed up with my deer encounter and when I turned on my brights, I would be coon shining in the trees.
This is how you straighten a bumper.
These are the old parts.
I'm not the only one in the family who does outside work in jammies.
Ta Da! You can see where the duct tape was holding the old light in place.
Other than the little dent in the hood (where the buck hit with his antler), its as good as new!

I'm so proud of myself, I did my first successful link at the top!

Q: For all you bloggers out there that are way smarter than me. I just got a Gurneys seed catalog in the mail and there is a $20 no strings coupon. Do you know if there is any thing weird with their seed? Chemically altered or what not? I like free but not if there are health risks. If you know, please let me know. Thanks bunches!

Wow. Handy Hubbies are a rare and wonderful gift--especially ones that can fix beloved trucks. It looks better than new to me!
Love that hubby fixes stuff in his jammy pants! You know he's going to skin you alive for posting a pic of him in those pants.
As for the $20, no strings coupon---I have no idea about Gurnsey seeds. Might as well give them a go, but be aware that they might be last year's seeds.
Happy New Year!!!
Hubby did a great job fixin your truck.
I got the Gurney's catalog and see many hybrid's, which after following the heavy-duty-homesteading-gardening-healthy people, such as Jackie Clay, she only uses the old heritage seeds, then saves the plant seeds and uses the next year. With hybrids you can't save the plant seeds and get the plant again. I think that is what she says.
Some don't trust eating from the hybrid plants, too chemically altered.
The real jammie test, do you throw on a big, long coat and go to town with jammies hanging out of your coat? Guilty.
Wow, how handy is he!
Gurney's is OK. Their seed isn't the best ever, but it's not bad. If you want to avoid hybrids, just pick non-hybrid seed! I tend to use the free coupons - I also get them from some bulb catalogue companies. Their bulbs are not the best either, but if it's free, so what if they don't all make it! I see they have an heirloom tomato seed rainbow blend on their website for $12.95. That would be good to choose! Of course, you can always get flower seed too!
Your hubby is hot, Michelle! And those Lion jammy pants...I just gotta know how he procured those. hehe
But really though, he's lucky to have you, too. You two make a beautiful couple.
Hey! I drive a GMC, too. Love GMC. Lots of power and strength. Hubby drives a GMC. Guess you could say were a GMC family hehe
I think one of the benefits of being laid up with a ripped up knee is that jammies are a requirement and noone expects you to dress up. Yay Jammies!
Happy New Year Michelle. I hope it's a great year for you and your family.

I'm pretty sure gurneys is a monsanto company. If genetically modified seeds bother you, don't use the coupon for seeds. I always use mine on other needs. Bird netting, row covers, peat pots etc... Or to buy a mushroom kit or two!
What a handsome hubby you got my girl...you've been holding out! ;)
Woohooo...your truck looks dang good...and that guy in the jammies aint half bad either!
Whats this about you collecting cans? I have a bog ol trash can full of cans out in the garage...my S is addicted to Coca cola, Im pretty sure of it. Oh wait..thats right. You guys get monies back when you return cans....here in our state we dont get that.
I have a handy man just like yours, we are lucky. I have a gas guzzler too. A suburban, I call it my farm vehicle becuase we use it for everything. You have to have a big vehicle to haul trailer, etc. We have 2 smaller vehicles too. They are all older but paid off!(I use to have a pick up like yours and I hit a deer once but in a jeep I had)
I'm glad I'm not the only one in love with their truck (and their hubby!) mine is a 72' 3/4 ton Chevy pickup that has dings, rust, but runs like a champ and can haul more manure and hay than you can imagine! Kim
Kathryn and Ari, I couldn't agree more, on both things.
CeeCee, Lucky for me Hubby doesn't read this. I did tell him I wouldn't show the pics, and my pants just caught fire.
Thanks for the info.
Farmgirl_dk, luckily we have a pretty private yard and the neighbors haven't said anything, YET.
A PJ party sounds swell.
You REALLY want cheap labor don't you?
GreyWolf, Happy New Year to you! And thanks!
Joanna, thanks for the info, I always keep that in mind too.
I haven't worn the jammies to town (only due to the lack of a long coat me thinks) but I did wear them to a garage sale. That counts right?
Patrice Farmer, I didn't just marry him for his good looks!;-)
Hi Claire, thanks for the seed tips. I never thought of just using it for flowers, great idea!
Laughing Orca, thanks! He has a pair of Lion jammies for each day, we are in Lion country and we always hope for a better season.
I do love my GMC.
Happy New Year to you too!
FarmMom, thanks so much for the info, I was worried about that but couldn't find any info about Monsanto(aka. the devil) and Gurneys. Great idea on the supplies, thanks!
My man is pretty hot but I try not to brag too much, I need to keep him humble.;-)
Thanks Frugalmom! We here in little ol' Michigan get .10 per can, we are lucky because it helps keep our state beautiful. So a whole bag would be just enough for that plane ticket!;-)
Country Girl, I love my suburban too. It is a must for farm life. Hubbie drives an 87 accord and I got a little used neon this summer to help beat those gas prices but it drives like sh*t in the winter snow, so it's put away for now.
Now that my truck looks so pretty, I am paranoid of another deer attack!;-)
inadvertant farmer, I have always been a beat up old truck girl. Practical and you don't have to worry where you park!
Hi. Me again.
Do you two have a reputation in the neighborhood for being the "jammy pant couple"? I'd invite you to any party of mine just on this merit alone, let me tell you!
Your Monster baby looks wonderful! Such a handy husband...all that *and* an organized basement, too. When are you guys coming again? I totally have my "Michelle's honey's do-list" all ready. :-) :-)
And instead of just collecting cans for $$, I was thinking you could maybe hold a car wash, too. You know, you and YOUR HUBBY, in your jammy pants.
